What to include when reporting a technical problem

Describe the page, the action you attempted, the error wording, the browser or device and the approximate time. This is usually more useful than sending a large amount of unrelated information. If you share a screenshot, cover passwords, one-time codes, full payment details and identity documents first.

Information you should keep private

• Passwords and password-manager recovery keys
• One-time codes and authentication codes
• Bank passwords and card PINs
• Full payment-card details
• Identity documents unless you have independently verified the recipient and the reason they are required

Account help belongs with the account provider

A navigation site cannot inspect or change a third-party account. When the issue concerns a password reset, account balance, transaction, identity review or account restriction, confirm the account provider’s help route and continue there.
